DAY TWENTY-EIGHT: April 29th

I validated the website called All about Explorers. I found out that the entire website was made just for students to learn that not all information found on the internet is correct. This teaches students to look for authority, credibility, and reliability of information on the site. Within my Think Aloud I ask the viewers to summarize what they think the site will be about by analyzing the title. I point out that the URL ends in a .com meaning that it is used for commercial. I also have the viewers notice the information at the bottom of the pages; copyright date, last updated, etc. Throughout the rest of my Think Aloud I have the viewers skim, read, synthesize, and analyze information on the site. By then end they will have concluded that the site was a learning tool and the information was inaccurate.
